Liz is a renowned local artist who has exhibited in London, Ipswich and Cambridge. Her career began as an engineer and this is reflected in some of her art. Latterly, she has delighted in the lighter side of life, her paintings full of action and humour. Street life and celebrations, musicians, churches, factories, underwater swimmers, Morris men and boat crews all have their place in her repertoire.
See https://www.lizmoon.co.uk/
She describes her work as "An exploration of people on action in a precariously balanced world. People leap or lean into a space that bends and sways around them; their energy and humour involve and invigorate. This is no thoughtless escape. A celebration of entertaining possibilities of life in the face of darker uncertainties to come."
There are several of her larger works for sale, also prints, and who could resist a postcard! Come and have a look - refreshments provided.
Our monthly Acoustic Music Night returns with Emily Slade, the Solomon Smith Band and our hosts the String Section. Doors open 7pm. Music 8pm - 10pm.
